SiteOwl LLC, SiteOwl LLC, a cloud-based security system management platform, announced today the appointment of Scott Ryder as Chief Operating Officer. In this position, Ryder will manage the development, product management, and customer success teams. His unique blend of technical and business expertise will be a key part of SiteOwl’s future growth.
Ryder brings over 25 years of experience building companies and defining product strategy to SiteOwl’s executive team. A technology industry veteran, his professional insights and leadership have resulted in multiple IPOs and acquisitions.
A primary focus of Ryder’s career has been guiding early-stage startups through rapid growth. This includes defining business strategy, building teams, launching new products, and improving operations.
Previously at Alert Media, an industry leader in emergency communication solutions, Ryder led product strategy as Chief Product Officer. Before that, he played an integral role in the launch of Seattle-based domain registrar Rightside and its subsequent $213 million acquisition by Donuts. Ryder also worked to build Pluck, a social networking company out of Austin, Texas, to a $70 million acquisition by Demand Media, where he stayed on as VP of Product through the company’s public launch.
His leadership has resulted in multiple successful outcomes across a variety of companies and industries. At SiteOwl he looks forward to applying his knowledge and experience to what is already a successful company.
